We are often asked what is the most trendy place in New York. You know, the neighborhood still under the radar but on the rise. The avant-garde place that attracts artists and craftsmen. With a spate of stylish inns and well-curated boutiques. Where hipster cafes open in motorcycle garages. Does Greenpoint or Bushwick  intuitively come to mind? Well, you’re mistaken. Brooklyn lost the monopoly on “trendiness” – we take you upstate for the most hip autumn getaway!

100 miles north of Manhattan, Hudson awaits. Fall is by far the best time to visit the Hudson Valley, when the countryside scorches in orange and auburn shades. You are steps from the Catskills mountains and spoiled with choices of hikes, farms and vineyards’ visits that are scattered amid the rolling landscape.

In the city of Hudson, the options are so numerous that we’re not sure where to start. Stroll down Warren Street, the main road where antique dealers, art galleries and small cafes are lining up. Explore the side streets. Lose yourself in the many vintage designer boutiques.
If you’re planning a romantic getaway, we have absolutely fallen in love with Rivertown Lodge and WM Farmer and Sons. Rivertown Lodge is a 1920s movie theater that has been turned into a Scandinavian boutique hotel. Immaculate white atmosphere, rough materials, sleek lines and design furniture. Snuggle up near the old-fashioned wood burner stoves in the communal kitchen and prepare to stay for a while!
Warm and cozy, the WM Farmers and Sons is a gem of comfort. There’s no lobby in this inn, but a charming restaurant, bar and coffee shop. Each room has its own identity and personalized decoration.
For dinner, hurry up and book a table at Fish & Game, a restaurant that looks just like a mountain cabin, only entirely renovated. Wood fire, huge kitchen opening into the dining room. As you guessed, fish and game on the menu. We promise you will fall hard for this authentic and refined dining experience.

Hurry up and discover Hudson before the city is taken over by NY hipsters!
